Today I visited Taronga Zoo to meet their new giraffe calf, Ebo at the brand new giraffe exhibit at Taronga. Plus, I caught up with my Capybara mates and even said hi to the meerkats!

Kids in Hornsby will be able to redeem the NSW Government’s $100 Creative Kids vouchers and stay connected to creative learning activities during social distancing restrictions thanks to an expansion of the program’s eligible activities and $1 million in funding to help program providers make the digital transition.
Although ANZAC Day this year will be different our commitment to remembering those who served our nation remains the same.

What will term 2 look like?
Term 2 will begin as it finished in Term 1. The majority of NSW students will be learning from home.
From week three of Term 2, we will begin a staged return to school. This will start with at least one day of face to face learning a week, with the aim of having around 25% of students on campus.
Hornsby seniors at risk of social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic will be the focus of $600,000 in funding to keep our older community connected.
Member for Hornsby Matt Kean urged eligible organisations in Hornsby to apply for the grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
“We want to fund innovative ideas in Hornsby to help seniors keep in touch by utilising phone calls, online platforms or other methods of communication,” said Mr Kean.
A suite of 21 fee-free TAFE NSW short courses are available online to assist anyone
across the State who wants to upskill during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Member for Hornsby Matt Kean said the pandemic response has had a dramatic effect on
communities and working life, but these select courses will assist job seekers and
workers looking to diversify their skills during these times.
