Firefighters are urging everyone to make sure ovens and barbecues are up to the task as more than 200 serious incidents such as exploding gas cylinders and food catching fire have been recorded this year.
Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation Matt Kean is urging everyone to make sure gas bottles are being stored correctly.
