Hornsby Gang Show Receives Government Funding

State Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean MP, today presented Scouts Australia – Hornsby Gang Show with a $15,196 cheque, as part of the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership program.

The funding will go towards the insulation of the roof at Hornsby Gang Show Hall.

Since 1973, the Hornsby Gang Show has enabled Sydney North Scouts and Guides to help organise and perform in concerts for the community to enjoy.

Speaking at Hornsby Gang Show's 'Lifting You Higher' performance, Mr Kean reiterated the importance of the scouting and girl guides movements, and the benefits of the funding.

'The Hornsby Gang Show provides young people in the local community with countless opportunities to develop life and leadership skills', Mr Kean said.

'Initiatives such as the Hornsby Gang Show allow scouts and guides to practice these skills, and contribute to the community's strong arts culture'

'This funding will ensure Sydney North Scouts and Guides continue to serve the local community in an appropriate and safe environment'
