State Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean MP, is encouraging residents to nominate people, who they believe contribute meaningfully to the community, for the NSW Government State Representative Award and NSW Government Community Service Award.
The NSW Government State Representative Award recognises people of any age, who have represented NSW in a competitive field, such as sport, music, the arts or academia, either nationally or internationally.
The NSW Government Community Service Award recognises people throughout NSW who have substantially contributed to their local community.
'Countless individuals contribute to our local community and I encourage residents to recognise such contributions', Mr Kean said.
'Our community has benefited from people who dedicate themselves to advancing various causes, such as the arts, sport, music and academia. And these individuals should have their service acknowledged accordingly'.
