MH17 Condolence Books

Hornsby MP Matt Kean today announced a condolence book would be available to sign in his office so Hornsby Shire residents can pay their respects to the victims of flight MH17.

"This has been an unspeakable tragedy, devastating families and communities in our State and across the nation," Mr Kean said.

"Our grief is compounded when we learn of the life stories of the victims and the happy circumstances which took them overseas before their lives were tragically cut short.

"The condolence books will allow the public to express their sorrow and pay tribute to the victims in a personal way.

Books will also be made available at locations across NSW including Parliament House, the Sydney Opera House and other NSW Electorate Offices. There will also be an online version available at www.nsw.gov.au.

"We now know six NSW residents were on board the plane - on behalf of all people of Hornsby I again offer my prayers and condolences to the family and friends of each of them," Mr Kean said.

"I hope their loved ones are brought home without any further delay so funerals can be arranged. They have suffered enough pain in recent days."

At an appropriate time the NSW Government will discuss with the families a suitable way for the condolence books to be presented.

Books will be available for signing at the following locations:
