The Active Kids Rebate will be available from 1st January 2018 and every school age child will be eligible.
Thanks to the NSW State Government, the non-means tested rebate can be claimed on a number of sports including netball, cricket, football, basketball, swimming classes, gymnastics or athletics.
Member for Hornsby Matt Kean MP said, “The NSW State Government understands that the cost of enrolling your kids in these activities adds up and this rebate will ease the financial burden for many families.”
Mr Kean dropped into the Berowra Cricket Club to see how the 2017/28 season was progressing.
Parents at the club are looking forward to the introduction of the rebate and hope it will encourage new members to join the club.
