SCHOOL ZONE EXTENSION FOR MOUNT KURING-GAI PUBLIC SCHOOL

The roads around Mt Kuring-gai Public School will be safer with the extension of existing school zones.

"The existing school 2one on Church Street Mt Kuring-gai has been extended by 43 metres and the school zone along teeming Street extended nine metres to provide adequate cover for schooi access points," said Member for Hornsby Matt Kean MP.

Mr Kean has been calling for a review of the zones which has been completed by Roads and Maritime Services.

"After the review was completed, it was determined both school zones needed to be extended to cover all school access points Motorists who aren't familiar with the area come over the bridge and don't realise they are passing a school With the extension of these school zones there is no excuse."said Mr Kean.

The new school zone signs will include flashing lights which should be installed soon.
