NEW LEARNING SPACE FOR MOUNT COLAH PUBLIC SCHOOL

After nearly 5 years offundraising. planning, approvals and building, the newly renovated Weather Shed is te-openmg for business at Mount Colah Public School!

Mr Pinch, a resident of Telopea Street, was responsible for the original location of the Weather Shed being relocated to its present site.

The Weather Shed, which was originally built on the site for the school milk delivery, has been turned into a mulli-purpose learning space for reading assistance, speech pathology and music lessons.

The building has been renovated using a $50,000 grant awarded to the Mount Colah P&C from Mr Kean along with money the school has raised through fund raising.

"The grant awarded to the Mount Colah P&C Association has helped see this dream of a brand-new learning space become a reality" Mr Kean said.

The process to fundraise and build this Weather Shed has taken 5 years and Principal Dr John Paterson PhD and Mr Kean acknowledge the number of parents who have help raise money for this wonderful school resource.

"I thank all the parents who have spent time giving back to their school and making Mount Colah PS a better place for all the students," Mr Kean said.

Dr Paterson said, "The P&C recognises the legacy of families who fundraised at fetes and events and who left the school before their children were able to use the new space."
