Big boost for Hornsby Heights FC

The Homsby Heights Football Club is thrilled to announce that they have been successful for a grant of $125,000 through the Asian Cup Legacy Fund. The Club will be using the funds to upgrade the lights at Montview Oval which will enable members to train during dark winter nights.

"It is going to make a huge difference to Homsby Heights FC to be able to have top-notch facilities for their teams to tram and play games," Mr Kean said. NSW Football CEO Stuart Hodge said,

"The collaborative effort of the NSW Government. Football NSW and Northern NSW Football has enabled local clubs to benefit."

"With more than 280.000 registered players now playing football in NSW, it is the financial support from initiatives such as this legacy fund that wilt ensure the future of Football continues to grow around the state." Mr Hodge said.

The NSW Asian Cup 2015 Legacy Fund is an initiative of the NSW Government, Football NSW and Northern NSW Football, which has been established with the NSW Government's surplus from the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. The grants provide funding assistance to community football clubs to improve the quality, availability and standard of their facilities.
