Visit to PHCS and Opening of Kevin Betts Ward at Mt Wilga Hospital

On Friday 21 September, I visited Pacific Hills Christian School in Dural for their 'Thank You' Day. I spoke to 89 Middle School students about my role in the community as a parliamentarian. It was a pleasure to meet so many inquisitive, enthusiastic students.

Later in the afternoon, I attended the Official Opening of the Kevin Betts Ward at Mt Wilga Hospital with Premier Barry O'Farrell and Mayor Steve Russell. Mt Wilga played an important role in the founding of the Australian Paralympic Games movement, and Kevin Betts OAM left a truly significant mark on the history of Mt Wilga and sport for people with disabilities. It was great to see him honoured in this way.
