Three schools in Hornsby Shire announced for cooler classes

Students at three schools in the Hornsby Shire will be cheering when airconditioning systems are installed in their classrooms — although they may have to wait a while before they beat the heat.

Meanhwile, other schools in the region will have to wait until the start of 2019 before applying for air conditioning in classrooms and the library.

The State Government announced its $500 million cooler classrooms program earlier this year to install airconditioning units in more schools across NSW.

Hornsby state Liberal MP Matt Kean said it was a great result for those schools.

“This means a more comfortable learning environment for all students and teachers,” he said.
