Pennant Hills AFL

Pennnant Hills Demons will have a refurbished changing rooms and an awning built in the 2015 season following a grant from the NSW Government.

The grant of $16,000 was approved through the Community Building Partnerships program which gives community and sporting groups the opportunity to apply for capital building works.

Demons President Phil Hare was on hand to receive the state funding alongside Hornsby MP Matt Kean.

"This is terrific news for our club which will improve facilities at Greenway Park for our spectators and for our players using better refurbished changing rooms," Mr Hare said.

Mr Kean said he was proud to support the Demons who are one of the State's biggest second-tier clubs outside the national AFL competition.

"The Demons are a nursery for talent in NSW and have produced great players over the years such as Kieran Jack, Lenny Hayes and Mark McVeigh," Mr Kean said.

"I wish the Demons all the best for the coming season and hope they can go one game better after reaching the final in 2014."

The Sydney Premier AFL Division kicks-off on Saturday, April 11 with the Demons hosting St George Dragons from 6.30pm.
