Last week I was nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease. I gladly accepted the challenge and joined Hills News editor Heloise Reece, The Hills deputy mayor Michelle Byrne and Hills Youth Ambassador Cassidy-Rae Wilson for a public soaking in Bella Vista.
After thawing out I was "kindly" nominated for a second time in the same day to take part in a second Ice Bucket Challenge with the pupils at Berowra Christian School. Principal Steve Dodd and Holly Cameron joined me to brave the windy weather for another cold ice challenge.
I encourage the community to get behind this campaign and support Motor Neuron Disease which effects around 2000 people across Australia and is sadly becoming more prevalent. You can donate to the cause here.
