State Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean MP, this evening presented Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Police and Community Youth Club (PCYC) with a $67,000 cheque as part of the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership Program.
The grant will be used towards the club's rejuvenation initiatives.
PCYC is a not-for-profit organisation that works with the NSW Police to provide activities and leadership training to young people.
The presentation occurred at a dinner dance at Hornsby RSL, organised by the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai PCYC in recognition of the club's 75th anniversary.
'The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai PCYC makes a fantastic contribution to the community', Mr Kean said.
'As a result of the club's activities, young people in the local community are provided with opportunities to realise their potential and receive advice and support if required'.
