Hornsby Hospital Receives New Staff

State Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean MP, today welcomed NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner's announcement that Hornsby Hospital will receive 24 new nurses, 4 mental health workers and 2 midwives.

Midwives and mental health workers commence work this month, while nurses start in March.

Throughout the state, over 2000 new graduate nurses have accepted positions to start work across NSW public hospitals this year.

"This is wonderful news for both Hornsby Hospital and the community", Mr Kean said.

"We are indebted as a society to the dedication of nurses, midwives and mental health workers, who are at the very heart of our health system".

"We rely on their professionalism and their commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care".
