State Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean MP, today announced $27,450 for the Cherrybrook Girl Guides Support Group (CGGSG), as part of the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership program.
The funding will go towards general maintenance at the Cherrybrook Girl Guide Hall.
The CGGSG (part of the Girl Guides Association of NSW), a not-for-profit organisation, which has 40 families as members, provides leadership and personal development training to girls and young women aged between 5 and 16 years.
Speaking at the organisation's AGM at Cherrybrook Girl Guide Hall, Mr Kean congratulated the members and staff for their community work and service.
'The Cherrybrook Girl Guides Support Group provides a tremendous service to our local community and will benefit from this additional funding', Mr Kean said.
'This is a very deserving organisation, and the funding will enable the Girl Guides to continue their fantastic work'
