Tennis club hits an ace for hospital

Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai District Tennis Association makes $4,000 donation to Hornsby Hospital

Hornsby Hospital will be able to purchase life-saving equipment thanks to a donation of $4,000 from the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai District
Tennis Association.

The Hospital will use the funds to purchase a Bronchoscope for intubating patients. Hornsby MP Matt Kean joined Mei and Marc Donnelly at the
hospital to see first-hand how this equipment will work to save patients in the operating theatre.

This is not the first time the Hospital has benefited from the kindness of the Tennis Association. In 2016 they made a donation of $3,500 to the hospital
which went towards the children’s ward.

“I would like to thank Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Tennis Association for their ongoing support of Hornsby Hospital. The funds they have donated give
the staff access to vital equipment for providing patients with the best possible care,” Mr Kean said.

The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai District Tennis Association has more than 400 members and hold a range of competitions throughout the week at Mills
Park and Berowra Tennis Centre.
